If we need to manage body weight, we need to know our body's daily Resting Energy Expenditure (REE), i.e. calories. In order to measure REE, we are using indirect calorimetry, which will give us the total calories consumed by the body during a 24-hour period and from which energy sources (Fats, Carbohydrates, Proteins). Unlike any other way, such as estimates based on anthropometric data, with indirect calorimetry, we get an accurate measurement, rather than an estimation. Your Body Composition will then be assessed, i.e. Body Mass, Body Height and Body Fat. After all measurements have been evaluated, the necessary instructions will be given according to your goals. It is recommended for all those who want to manage their Body Weight or get rid of excess Body Fat and improve their Metabolism.
